Contractor program promotes contractors who
maintain a standard of excellence in their
trade, provides training, stresses
accountability, and upholds quality
workmanship in an effort to improve comfort
and energy efficiency when installing
heating and cooling systems.
Customers routinely call SMECO seeking referrals for HVAC services. In the past, SMECO did not make recommendations. Now, customers are encouraged to utilize SelectHVAC contractors because of the training and commitment to quality that Select contractors possess.
The SelectHVAC Contractor program is open to all privately and/or independently owned companies that meet program acceptance criteria. Contractors who wish to participate must sign an agreement form, provide SMECO with copies of liability insurance, licenses, and documents verifying training, attend provided instruction as listed in the agreement form, and agree to random inspections by SMECO.
