We Want to Hear From You

We are your cooperative, and we are committed to working in partnership with our community to ensure this improvement project is done right.  We will provide complete information about each step of this project – and work with the community – before plans are finalized.

  • We will seek community input on many important topics such as the final proposed route, the types of pole used, and how we cross the lower Patuxent River.
  • We hold open house meetings as listed on the right to fully discuss the project and answer any questions.  In addition to SMECO’s community meetings, we will come to your community associations and civic groups.

  • We will meet with state and local elected officials to ensure the project meets community planning and consumer advocacy objectives.

  • We will meet with leaders of local environmental organizations to make sure their concerns are addressed and this project is as environmentally-friendly as possible.
  • We will meet with local business leaders to make sure they understand how this project will affect their business.

Have A Question?
We welcome questions from members of the community.  You can submit a question online, and we may post your question and our answer on our Questions & Answers page.  To submit a question, click here.

Open House Meetings
We hope that you’ll join us at one of our meetings to learn more about the project and share your input.
